Community Music Program – ON HIATUS 2023

Looking for an artistically enriching experience for your kids?

You do not need to attend First Congregational Church of Muskegon to benefit from this FREE program!

Each Tuesday night our choirs, handbell choir, and liturgical dancers gather to learn about healthy singing, musicianship, and more. With only two performances per year, the program is a great option for busy families!

Students 1st – 12th Grades

Choir – 6:00pm – 6:30pm

Sing your heart out and perform twice per year! Singers are taught healthy singing techniques while having fun doing it with a variety of musical activities! No experience required, just come and sing!

Handbells – 6:30 – 7:00pm

Learn to play a new instrument! We are one of the only programs in West Michigan to offer a handbell choir for children. No previous experience required, but it is helpful if you can read music!

Liturgical Dance – 7:00pm – 7:30pm

Come express your musicality through dance! Dancers will be selected based on abilities determined by the choreographer. Since dance rehearsals are dependent on attendance, dancers will only be allowed to perform if they have missed two rehearsals or less.

Children 3 – 5 Years

Kid’s Choir – 6:00pm – 7:00pm

Snack – 7:00pm – 7:30pm

As soon as your little one is ready to sing, our doors are open! Our Kid’s Choir has story time, enriching lessons and discussions, musical activities, dancing, games, crafts, snack, and singing!
